Friday Fun Recipe: Honey iced tea - in anticipation of a hot summer!

Instructions.

Find a cosy spot where you can soak up the imaginary summer sun while preparing this delightful concoction.

4 Cups water (sun-kissed and ready for transformation)

4 Tea bags (your preferred variety)

1/4 cup honey (sweet as a summer sunset)

1 Lemon (squeezed with the zest for life)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (a touch of enchantment)

Optional: 1 tablespoon orange blossom water ( a fragrant breeze)

In a pot, pour the water and imagine it as the rainfall of May, trying its best to give way to the glorious heat of summer. Let the water warm over a low heat, as if encouraging the weather to cooperate.

Once the water is warm and the pot is filled with anticipation, add the tea bags. Allow them to steep for a few minutes, just long enough for them to share stories of tropical vacations.

As the tea infuses with tales of faraway beaches, remove the tea bags and discard them.

It’s time to add the sweetness of honey and the rest of the ingredients to your summer elixir. Pour the honey into the pot, gently swirling it around like a dance move you’ve been practicing since winter.

Watch as the honey gracefully dissolves into the tea, transforming it into a golden elixir that promises to awaken your taste buts and melts away the lingering dampness of May.

Allow the tea to cool for a while, as if it’s embracing the idea of summer.

Once the tea has reached a pleasant temperature, fill a glass with ice cubes.

Take a sip, close your eyes, and let the coolness wash over you. Imagine sun-kissed beaches, the vibrant laughter of friends, and the glorious warmth that lies just around the corner. Summer is almost here.

Enjoy your refreshing honey iced tea, and may the warmth of summer find you soon!
